Production
In order to shoot my film, I used a DSLR camera from Springboard TV and used a location in Marham which is near by to my house, making it easily accessible for both me and my actor. When shooting, I gave instructions as to how I wanted the piece to look in the end, but I also let her do what felt right for her and what she was happy with doing. It turned out well and I was pleased with how the shoot ended. I managed to also get some pictures taken for my print posters as well which I didn't intend to do that day, but timings went well and I was able to do it.
I believe I worked well with my actor as she clearly followed my instructions and vision, as well as adding her own input as to what she thought would work well and giving me some opinions and views on what we were doing. With her input, I created a piece that we were both pleased with and I was grateful to have her give me her input as I got some good feedback for my work. One difficulty we faced though was that a few people came to the location we were filming at with their dogs, so we had to move to another part of the field to ensure that they weren't in the film at all. This did mean that it looked liked we filmed in multiple locations, but it was just to prevent anyone making an unwanted appearance in the film.
Making the print adverts went well too. I used one of the pictures I took from the TV ad shoot, and the other 2 ads used pictures that I took whilst in college with the DSLR and a white background. They both work well with the theme and I'm happy with the way they turned out, although I did have to edit them sightly to change some of the lighting as it was quite dark.
