Production

In order to shoot my film, I used a DSLR camera from Springboard TV and used a location in Marham which is near by to my house, making it easily accessible for both me and my actor. When shooting, I gave instructions as to how I wanted the piece to look in the end, but I also let her do what felt right for her and what she was happy with doing. It turned out well and I was pleased with how the shoot ended. I managed to also get some pictures taken for my print posters as well which I didn't intend to do that day, but timings went well and I was able to do it.  I believe I worked well with my actor as she clearly followed my instructions and vision, as well as adding her own input as to what she thought would work well and giving me some opinions and views on what we were doing. With her input, I created a piece that we were both pleased with and I was grateful to have her give me her input as I got some good feedback for my work. One difficulty we faced though was that a few peop...

Title: Perfume Advert Genre:   Advert Target Audience: Women aged between 18-30 that can afford an expensive perfume as well as it will be a luxury item. Outline:   My advert will start with shots of the "celebrity" walking through a field in semi slow motion with the sunset in the background. It will show some shots of her face in a mid close up to get a sense of her happiness and calmness in the scene. Throughout the video she will be seen being happy and almost whimsical so that it portrays a calming atmosphere. At the end of the video she will be seen pulling out a perfume bottle and spraying it on herself, and facing the camera again smiling. The very end will show the perfume with its name and a small motto underneath, with a voice over saying both the name and motto. The general feeling I want this this advert is to be calming and whimsical, yet portraying a positive message to encourage my audience to buy the product. By creating a positi...

Print Advert Analysis

Image
This advert shows actor Jennifer Lawrence in a swimming pool with a bottle of perfume next to her and the name of the product and who made it. The brand name is important to include as Dior is a very popular brand and by telling people who it's made by will convince them to want to buy it as they will trust them to create a product that they will enjoy. Jennifer Lawrence will also attract people to want to buy the product as she is a well known and liked actress and people will want to buy it in order to feel connected to her in some way. The pool may symbolise calmness and serenity, meaning that it's a gentle scent and not too overpowering. The colours all work very well and the pink represents love and Joy, hence the name of the product. Jennifer Lawrence also starred in a film called "Joy" so it's very fitting having her model and represent this perfume; it will make fans of herself and the film want to buy it as, like i said before, they want to feel connect...

Idea Development

Reviews for JOY Dior: katrina02 on  9/13/2018 4:13:00 AM More reviews by  katrina02 Age : 30-35 Skin : Normal, Medium, Not Sure Hair : Brunette, Other, Other Eyes : Brown I love this fragrance. For me it's probably a day time fragrance which smell very fine and expensive like only the likes of Dior, Chanel etc. smell. Not like the cheap and nasty celebrity fragrances. It smells fresh but in a floral and slightly sweet kind of way. There are also some fruity notes in it. After wearing it for few hours you can definitely smell the woody undertones but in a very delicate way. I think the name suits the fragrance very well and the bottle is beautiful! It also lasts a very long time. It reminds me a bit of Chanel's Allure, but only certain notes and Allure is definitely a lot heavier! I'd probably put it in the same category as Chanel Chance Tendre and Shiseido Ever Bloom, those pinky floral fragrances for the day with some citrusy/fruity note...

Evaluation

Evaluation: Overall, I'm fairly happy with the way my video and posters turned out. I followed my idea as best as I could and managed to achieve something that I both enjoyed working on and am proud of. I believe that my project was fairly successful as it does what it's intended to do; it clearly shows what my product is as well as showing the brand and appeal to the product. I successfully made 3 print adverts as well as a 30 TV advert, all of which I'm satisfied with, although there are things I would change about them all to further improve them. When creating the idea for my TV advert, I watched a few different videos on YouTube and TV to see what others have made and what is popular with its viewers. I found that many of these adverts are made, in a way, to appeal to both genders in the sense that for woman it will make them smell nice and attractive, and for men it will make a woman mor...
